Use the information below to access your hosted email account and configure your email accounts in Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express.
Important: The following settings are known to cause problems with Internet Security and Firewall Programs. This is for advanced users only. Please use your ISP's SMTP settings if you are not familiar with making changes to your Security/Firewall programs. You must use the "Permit All" settings on you Security program for Outlook or the settings below will render you email program inoperable.
Instructions - Configure SMTP Authentication for Outlook XP or 2003: |
| Step 1: |
Launch Outlook. On the main screen, click on Tools in the main toolbar menu. |
| Step 2: |
Select Email Accounts... from the drop-down menu. |
| Step 3: |
Select the View or change existing email account option under "Email" section of in the "Email Accounts" dialog box. Then click Next. |
| Step 4: |
On the "Internet E-mail Settings (POP3)" page, under "Server Information" type mail.DOMAIN.com in the "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" box. (Where "domain.com" is your domain name. Then click the More Settings button. |

On the "Outgoing Server" tab, check the box labeled My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. The select the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option. The click OK to close the dialog box and save your changes. |

Click Next and then Finish to close the "Email Accounts" dialog box and save your changes. |
Instructions - Configure SMTP Authentication for Outlook Express, Outlook 97 or 2000: |

Launch Outlook/Express. On the main screen, click on Tools in the main toolbar menu. |

Select Accounts from the drop-down menu. |
| Step 3: |
Select the Mail tab on the "Internet Accounts" dialog box. |

On the "Account Properties" dialog box:
- Click the Server tab.
- Check My outgoing server requires authenitcation.
- Click on the Settings button.

On the "Outgoing Mail Server" dialog box:
- Check Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Click OK to close the "Outoing Mail Server" dialog box.

Click OK to close the "Account Properties" dialog box. |

Click Close to close the "Internet Accounts" dialog box and save your changes. |
